I Maratón Fotográfico “La naturaleza en el Botánico”
Buscamos las mejores imágenes de la naturaleza en el Botánico. Para ello, el Jardín Botánico Atlántico, el Colectivo Ornitológico Carballera del Tragamón y la Asociación de Amigos del Jardín Botánico de Gijón, convocan el I Maratón Fotográfico de naturaleza.
Te invitamos a participar en esta "competición", de 10.00 a 19.00 horas, dirigida a todo tipo de público, aficionado o profesional.
- La participación en el maratón será gratuita.
- Cada participante podrá presentar 1 única fotografía por cada una de las cuatro categorías establecidas: 1) Los rincones del Botánico (paisajes, colecciones vegetales y otros espacios); 2) Fotografía de cerca (primeros planos, detalles, macro); 3) Aves; 4) Fotografía creativa.
- Plazo de inscripción: del 15 al 25 de mayo.
PREMIOS: habrá una fotografía ganadora por cada una de las cuatro categorías establecidas y el premio consistirá en:
- Un Bono de 100 € en Fotocentro +
- Un Bono de 50 € en Tiendas del Botánico +
- Lote de libros +
- Abono familiar anual del Botánico

Además, las fotografías ganadoras serán expuestas, los días 23 y 24 de junio, durante la celebración del Solsticio de Verano, en los puntos del Jardín donde hayan sido tomadas.

The Atlantic Botanic Gardens has been built in the areas of Deva and Cabueñes on an approximated surface of 25 hectares taking advantage of the "Carbayera (oak trees) of Tragamón" and the facilities of the property called La Isla.
The equipment has four well-differentiated sections: The Cantabrian Gardens, The Plant Factory - organized around the "molín (mill) de Rionda"-, the Atlantic Itinerary and the property La Isla. This property has around 40.000 square meters and includes the Historic Garden, where the visitors can see, among other elements, a rustic pool, 1.300 square-meter lagoon and other two ponds, that are part of the hydraulic complexes.
Location and accesses
Gijón's Atlantic Botanic Gardens is located on the 632 main road, in the neighbourhood of the university campus and Universidad Laboral, only 3 kilometers away from the city center. The Garden has its own parking next to the entrance. An area located 200 meters away, opposite the Universidad Laboral, can be used as additional parking. Besides, there are various urban bus routes that allow an easy, fluid and direct access to the reception building.
Lines 1,2,4,18 and 26, along with the special service called Micro 2 (this one only Mondays to Fridays, on working days) stop at "Cruce de Santurio", next to the Botanic Gardens main entrance.
